In an interview of That Video Game Blog with Evan Wells, co-president of Naughty Dog, the success of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune's and future plans were the topics of conversation.Metacritic gave Uncharted: Drake's Fortune an average score of 89 out of 100. Asked what they feel about this, Wells said:We are very pleased with the critical response that we have received. Particularly that the scores have been so consistent. There really hasn’t been a single reviewer who hasn’t enjoyed the game and the vast majority of the scores have been 9’s or above.
Given the success that the game has established, a sequel should be in the making, no doubt. As for the plans of the company to develop a game following Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Wells said, "We’ve also only just started brainstorming on ideas for our next project. Nothing has been solidified yet."
Along with their ideas on developing sequels that will follow, upgrades such as downloadable content were also discussed. With the coming of the PlayStation Home in the near future, Wells disclosed that, "We aren’t planning any downloadable content for Uncharted, but we are planning to take advantage of whatever kind of integration into Home that’s possible."
There you have it. Evan's Wells' thoughts on the success of their game and what we could expect from their company in the future. If you want to read the complete interview, you can head on over to the source link below.
